Kelsey Nicolai first came to Innovative Federal Strategies as an intern in January, 2013 and was welcomed back to the team in June, 2013 full-time. Before coming to D.C., she worked with Blue Ridge Legal Services, the legal aid society that provides free civil legal assistance to low-income residents of the Shenandoah Valley and Roanoke Valley of Virginia.

Kelsey graduated from James Madison University in May, 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication, and Political Science with a concentration in American Government. During her time there, Kelsey served as a member on the Judicial Council working closely with the administration to ensure university policies and procedures were followed in the judicial process.
