Annie Wake is an Associate at Innovative Federal Strategies, LLC. Prior to joining the IFS team, Annie served the U.S. House for three years on the House Appropriations Committee.
While serving on the Committee, Annie served as an administrative assistant to the Homeland Security Subcommittee, chaired by Rep. John Carter of Texas, where she was responsible for Homeland Security agency accounts and the process of writing and editing the subcommittee’s bill. In her role, she gained an intimate understanding of the multifaceted Homeland Security issues affecting the appropriations process.
Originally from Kansas City, Annie is a graduate of DePauw University and holds a B.A. in History. She is currently seeking a master’s degree in Global Security Studies from Johns Hopkins University. Her courses have focused on economic and trade security, military strategy and analysis, and the effects of corruption and nationalism on state stability. Before attending DePauw University, Anne completed a Rotary Exchange Student program based in southern Belgium.
