Ben Jarrett, a Senior Associate at Innovative Federal Strategies, has extensive experience helping defense, science, and technology-oriented clients advocate for their federal policy goals.  

Ben came to the firm in 2021 after over a decade of experience interacting with the legislative and executive branches of the federal government, including over 5 years as a Capitol Hill staffer.  He served as Military Legislative Assistant for Congressman John R. Carter (TX-31), advising the Congressman regarding his responsibilities as Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs and as a member of the Subcommittee on Defense. 

Ben has also served as a senior advisor to the Federal Co-Chairman of the Appalachian Regional Commission, and as a Political and Legislative Analyst for the Embassy of Israel in Washington DC’s Congressional Affairs Department.

Ben has a BA in Political Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and an MA in Defense and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College.  His interests include Boston sports, along with military and political history.  He lives with his family in Washington DC.
