Austin Gage is a Senior Associate at Innovative Federal Strategies. He brings a decade of federal service and legislative experience to the firm, including senior positions in the House of Representatives. 

He most recently served as Legislative Director & Counsel to the Dean of the House, Congressman Hal Rogers (KY-05), former Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee. In that role, Austin executed Rep. Rogers’s overall legislative operation, including bill introductions and correspondence with House Committees, congressional leadership, and the Administration. As an Appropriations Associate, he ensured inclusion of office priorities in each of the 12 annual appropriations bills and supplemental legislation, with a focus on Rep. Rogers’s responsibilities as Chairman of the Commerce, Justice, Science (CJS) and State-Foreign Operations subcommittees. Austin began his Capitol Hill tenure with Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01). 

Austin earned a B.A. in Political Science from Virginia Tech and a J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law. He is a native of the Washington, DC area, growing up in Alexandria, Virginia where he lives with his wife and daughter.
