Angela Camara is a Staff Assistant at IFS, with a degree in International Relations and Dance from American University. During her time there, she interned with Rep. Jim Himes in his Washington, DC office, and on Senator Tim Kaine and Senator Richard Blumenthals’ respective Senate campaigns. Angela has also worked with Guidepost Strategies and KDCR Partners as a Legislative Intern where she became deeply interested in advising clients to achieve their success.

At American University, Angela was the Dance Program Ambassador to the College of Arts and Sciences, responsible for new student recruitment and retention. Since then, enrolled Dance majors at the University have doubled. Angela takes pride in being one of the first double majors in International Relations and Dance at American University, where she researched and submitted original work to the Consortium on North American Peace Programs, heavily focusing her work on artistic preservation and representation during times of war.
